Throughout October and November, we have been busy packing, collecting, and distributing Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Thanks to our incredible Shine families, last week we were able to deliver 302 shoeboxes. We’re thrilled to share that some of these boxes were shipped to Madagascar on November 30th, and more were sent to the Philippines on December 1st!
Thank you for helping us bless these special children this Christmas and for partnering with us to share the true message of Christmas with children around the world!
Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children is committed to feeding God’s starving children, hungry in body and spirit.Their approach is simple: Children and adults volunteer to hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and the organization ships these meals to distribution partners around the world. We would love for you to join us!
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide millions of shoeboxes each year filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Last year, we packed 150 shoeboxes at our packing party!
Join us each November and pack a shoebox of your own!
Dr. Jon and Sam went on an 8 day medical mission trip with Global Health Outreach to the city of Gualiquiza, Ecaudor. While in Ecuador, they were part of a medical and dental mission team that served the community and shared the good news of Jesus Christ. There was a clinic set up and local residents, military personnel, as well as indigenous people from the Shur and Ashur tribes who live in the surrounding rain forest, were able to come and receive medical and dental care.
Dr. Jon and Sam were a part of a Global Health Outreach team that gives medical and dental care to a village in need. The objectives of this mission were to provide basic medical and dental care, while giving glory to God and helping to carry out the Great Commission. This mission also hopes to empower local pastors and promote unity in the body of Christ. Nicaragua has many challenges in terms of spiritual, economic and health concerns as it is still suffering the effects of years of war. The people are desperately poor and in need of medical assistance. We are excited that Dr. Jon and Sam had this opportunity to serve in the town of San Cayetano near the Pacific coast of Nicaragua!
