COMPASSION UPDATE

 Your letters are on their way to Grace and Fernando! It takes many weeks for them to receive our letters and even longer for us to get one back. We’ll let you know when we hear from them!

        

OUTREACH UPDATE

 You may have seen on Facebook that we are now working with “A Generous Life”. They are a group that focuses on connecting generous people to projects around the world to reach out to those in need. For our September activity we had our patients make friendship bracelets for children in an orphanage in Myanmar! “A Generous Life” will be visiting them in November to put in an aquaponics system!

OFFICE Outreach

 
    

Now YOU can be involved in Shine’s Office Outreach. For June’s contest you will have the opportunity to write to Shine’s Compassion children, Grace and Fernando, by picking up one of the forms when you get to the office. Tell them about yourself and even send them a picture!

There will be four winners for this contest and each will be awarded with a Summer Prize Pack! The pack includes a Jump Street gift card, a Baskin Robbin’s gift card and a Super Soaker!

This is the time for sleeping in, BBQs, and bike rides, but if you don’t have a game plan your summer could slip away and school will be back in session before you know it. It takes careful planning to make sure your summer is as fun filled as possible.

This was the question asked to our patients for the May Contest and you’ll be delighted to hear a few of the answers we received:

“She helps and cleans with me. She isn’t just the best mom ever, she’s the greatest person ever! She loves me for who I am and always cares for me. This is why she’s the best mom ever! My heart is full of love for her!”

“She is courteous to me and everyone around her. She is comforting and caring. She shows greatness and appreciation to all. She also will stay up all night if she has to, to help me with my homework or projects. That is why she is the most amazing mom ever. I love her!  I don’t know what I would do without her! She also puts us first before her, she is the greatest mom ever!”

“She lets us go to the park and at the pool. She is the best mom I have ever had, I love her so much.”

“She takes care of me and cooks for me she is a great mom. I love her so much because she cuddles with me and she loves on me.”
