Dr. Mitchual is originally from London, England but moved to the US as a young child. Raised in a small town in Maryland, Dr. Mitchual went on to complete her bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland, and Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. Following her formal education, Dr. Mitchual completed a 1 year general practice residency treating patients of all ages, but it was there that she found treating children the most rewarding. She then established her very own non-profit organization providing oral healthcare items to children in need all the while pursuing a Master’s degree in Oral Sciences and her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Mitchual enjoys travel, yoga, cake decorating, spending time with her family and friends and of course cheering on all Maryland sports! Dr. Mitchual moved to Arizona in 2016!
Dr. Sam was born and raised in the San Mateo area of California. She grew up with her Grandfather as her pediatric dentist and always knew she wanted to follow in his footsteps. Dr. Sam earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from San Jose State University. She moved to Arizona in 2011 where she earned her DMD degree from ATSU Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Sam moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she practiced general dentistry for two years. It was there that she solidified her love for children as well as those patients with special health care needs. Dr. Sam completed her residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University where she served as chief resident her second year. She practiced in Molalla, Oregon before moving back to Arizona so that her husband could start his orthodontic residency at ASDOH. Dr. Sam is an active member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is currently in the process of becoming board certified. She is also a huge sports fan! You can always find her cheering on the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and San Jose Sharks. In her free time she enjoys yoga, hiking, cooking and spending time with her family and friends, particularly her 15 month old son.
